LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police are asking for help as they search for people involved in two shootings that happened last night.

Lexington police say no one has been charged in connection with either crime. They do believe they may have found some of the people involved.

The first incident happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Liberty Road and Burkewood Drive. Police say they responded to a report of shots fired between two cars and found one car nearby that had been shot several times.

Police then found several people nearby that matched the description of the individuals who had been seen in one of the cars. Those people were arrested on unrelated drug charges.

Police are investigating a shooting in the area of Hawkins Avenue and Conley Street near East Fourth. Officers say a man fired shots into a home. Witnesses say the suspect was a man wearing a blue or black shirt and black pants.

Thankfully, no one was injured in either shooting.
