LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Louisville police said they arrested a couple after finding them passed out in a hot car with a 2-month-old baby and drugs.
The baby was taken to Norton Children's Hospital after EMS workers determined the child was not responding well to stimuli. The baby was extremely hot and sweaty due to being inside a concealed vehicle with no airflow for an extended time, according to documents.
Police said they found evidence of drug use, including a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine inside an Enfamil baby formula can.
The Shields are charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
