FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The man accused of shooting and killing a 24-year-old man and his dog pleaded not guilty to murder Thursday.

Antonio Bolling, 40, appeared in court Thursday morning on charges of murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and animal cruelty.

Police allege Bolling shot and killed Coty Brumback, 24, as well as Brumback’s dog, in a downtown Frankfort parking garage shortly after midnight Wednesday.

Brumback’s family attended the arraignment, but requested that the media not film them.

Citing the serious nature of the charges, a Franklin County judge set Bolling’s bond at $1 million. He is due back in court next Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
