LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington man has been charged with assault after an altercation at Shillito Park.
Police say that during the altercation, 61-year-old Richard Saunier allegedly grabbed a large cooler filled with baseballs and hit the other man in the head with it. Police also say that he knocked the man's phone to the ground, causing $1,000 worth of damage.
Saunier is charged with second-degree assault and criminal mischief. Police say the victim only suffered minor injuries.
