Man and woman arrested in Hardin County murder case

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police have have arrested a man and woman following a homicide investigation in Hardin County.

Troopers say they were called to home on Wise Lane in Elizabethtown around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. At 9:00 p.m. Thursday, detectives conducted a search warrant of the home and found Kathy Erbelding, 63 of Elizabethtown, killed inside the home as a result of a gunshot wound.

With the help of Elizabethtown Police and the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Troopers were able to to take two suspects into custody.

Jacob Lugmayer, 27 of Radcliff was arrested and charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, robbery and abuse of a corpse.

Krystal Erbelding, 33 of Elizabethtown, was arrested and charged with murder, robbery and abuse of a corpse.

The two were taken to the Hardin County Detention Center.
