Police: Man arrested after allegedly pointing gun at woman

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a woman, according to police.

The incident happened on Saturday on Crusaders Way, which is close to Winchester Road and New Circle Road.

The victim told police that Carlet Merrell Jr. point a gun at her when she tried to check on a person who was in distress.

A second victim told the police that Merrell would not let her call for help during the incident.

Merrell also allegedly hit a victim in the eye and the mouth.

Merrell was arrested and faces multiple charges, according to police.
