GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The man arrested in connection to the death of Savannah Spurlock is scheduled to be in court on Monday morning.

Police said David Sparks, 23, was one of the three men who left with Spurlock from a Lexington bar back in January.

Spurlock's whereabouts were unknown for over six months until last week, when her remains were found on a Garrard County property.

Sparks was later arrested.

As of Monday morning, Sparks is the only suspect in the case, but friends and family said the truth will eventually come out.

Sparks has been charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
