LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington man is in jail after police say he grabbed his girlfriend and took her phone.
Police say that it happened around 5 p.m. Friday when 27-year-old Anthony Washington is accused of grabbing the woman and taking her phone. A witness, who was on the phone with the woman at the time, told police that Washington said, "I might as well get $200 for this thing."
Washington believed the woman had stolen money for him.
Washington is charged with second-degree robbery, as well as disorderly conduct for allegedly causing a disturbance when he was arrested.
