LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) — Lexington Police say that a man was found with gunshot wounds at the Coolavin Apartments Tuesday.
Police say that the Mounted Police Unit heard the shots around 1 p.m. and were very close, so they rushed to the scene. The man was found on the ground.
He was transported to the hospital. The man, identified as 22-year-old Quatrell Kimble, died from his injuries at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The coroner listed the manner of death as homicide on a news release.
Through the course of the investigation, a firearm was recovered and detectives determined 32-year-old David Williams was a suspect. Williams was charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and trafficking a controlled susbtance (cocaine.) Tyreshe Webb, 24, is charged with hindering apprehension and improper display of a registration plate. Webb is accused of helping Williams by providing him transportation.
