It was eastern Kentucky's turn for storms today. These are slow-moving, heavy rain makers. Gusty winds and small hail are also possible. Activity will fizzle after sunset. We'll stay partly cloudy and muggy overnight. Haven't had enough yet? Memorial Day will look and feel like summer. Clouds will puff up after morning sunshine. Scattered storms and downpours are possible during the afternoon and early evening. It will be a warm and humid day too with highs in the mid 80s.
The summertime set-up will continue through most of the upcoming week with warm and humid days and a daily storm chance. Things begin to break down a little later in the week as a couple of waves meet up over the Appalachians. Storm chances ramp up Thursday and Friday. The storms will clear up, humidity will drop, and temperatures will be more seasonal by next weekend.
