It sure was nice to see the sun today after yesterday's rain. Skies will remain mostly clear overnight with areas of dense fog developing by morning. Low temperatures will be seasonal in the mid 40s.
There will be more "tricks" than "treats" this Halloween week. We will get treated to a couple sunny and warmer days to begin the week. Highs will climb into the lower 70s tomorrow and Tuesday. Don't get too comfortable. A strong cold front will barrel through on Halloween. Showers begin on Wednesday. It won't be the nicest for trick-or-treaters with heavy rain and gusty winds. Then it will be time to turn on the furnace. The chilliest air of the season will pour in behind the front. Friday's high will only be in the lower 50s, and Lexington's first freeze of the season is likely. It will remain brisk into next weekend, but there will be sunshine.
