LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX) — Authorities in Scott County have identified a motorcyclist who died Monday after a collision with a sport-utility vehicle near Georgetown.

Officials said 26-year-old Gregory Sharon of Paris died after being struck by an SUV that was turning of Crumbaugh Road onto U.S. Highway 460.

Police say the driver of the SUV had stopped at the stop sign but didn't see Sharon when pulling onto the roadway.

Sharon was taken to an area hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.

Authorities said they did not expect to file charges against the driver in the case.
