That was one mighty cold front that blew through overnight. Before the front crossed temperatures were in the lower 80s yesterday afternoon. Now this morning we're waking up to falling temperatures. The chilly air has already filtered in the Bluegrass where temperatures are in the 40s. Eastern Kentucky will be getting chillier over the coming hours. This front also brought scattered light rain showers, which will quickly wrap up this morning.
Skies will gradually clear into the early afternoon. Despite the sunshine skies it will be a brisk afternoon with highs only in the upper 50s. Plan accordingly if you're heading to Keeneland or will be tailgating ahead the Cat's game this evening. Conditions will just just right for patchy frost later tonight. This will be the coldest night of the season with lows in the mid 30s under clear skies. After the frosty start temperatures will rebound into the upper 60s to end the week. Fall is going to stick around for a while with more seasonal temperatures into next week.
