GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn (WKRN/LEX 18) — The name of the person who struck officer Spencer Bristol as he was in a foot chase of a suspect on I-65 South has been released.
According to reports, 68-year-old Carolyn Glassock struck Bristol while she was traveling south on I-65 near mile marker 95.
Bristol was taken to Skyline Medical Center where he died. He was 31 years old.
According to the Hendersonville Police Department Facebook page, there has been a memorial set up at the headquarters, which is located at 3 Executive Park Drive.
On Dec. 31, the police department announced that a donation fund is being set up.
