LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — One person has died after an accident involving a car and a Lime e-scooter on Richmond Road.
The accident happened near Lakeshore Drive.
Police have identified the victim as Timothy Ryan Freeman, 35. Freeman died of multiple blunt force trauma at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Freeman was traveling outbound on Richmond Road on a Lime e-scooter.
According to a press release, Freeman lost control of the Lime e-scooter and fell into traffic. Freeman was then hit by multiple vehicles.
The incident is still under investigation, but no charges are expected.
