FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man in Floyd County was hit by train on Friday afternoon, but is expected to recover, according to police.
LEX 18 first reported that the young man who was hit had died, but we have since received information from Kentucky State Police that he did in fact survive.
The man was walking along the tracks in the area of Kentucky Route 777 and Kentucky Route 88.
He was transferred to the Pikeville Medical Center and then taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
The accident is under investigation.
