MORGAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A group of EMTs in West Liberty are backing a former colleague.

Brenda Dalton, an EMT of nearly 15 years, is battling stage three breast cancer. She is currently on medical leave while seeking treatment.

Her daughter, Niki Haney, says that her mom is a fighter. Haney also works as an EMT, following in her mother’s footsteps.

"She is a tough lady. This isn’t holding her down for long. She started losing her hair about a week ago, so several of us in the family shaved our heads with her. Then our work family joined in today," Haney told LEX 18.

The aforementioned work family is the heroes at Morgan County Ambulance. One by one, each worker sat in front of a camera as they had their heads clipped and buzzed.

The 20-minute long video is captioned, "Going bald for Brenda. Breast cancer doesn’t stand a chance."

Dalton’s daughter has also sheared her long blonde locks.
