RUSSELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man is facing felony charges after extensively damaging a relative’s property and resisting arrest.

It happened around 3:23 p.m. Tuesday on Jimmy Avenue in Russell Springs.

Upon arrival, deputies observed damage to the residence and two motorcycles caused by a pickup truck that was operated by 40-year-old Kevin Lawless.

Officials say while being taken into custody, Lawless pulled a knife on the deputy, but he was quickly incapacitated by a taser.

Lawless was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center on 11 charges.
