LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) An autopsy was performed Thursday after a man was killed in a house fire in Lincoln County.
The fire happened around 4:30 Wednesday morning in Crab Orchard on Ky 1770. The coroner’s office tells LEX 18 that a passerby on his way home from work saw smoke and flames and called for help, but said that the home had mostly collapsed by then.
The coroner said that the man inside the home was the only person living there, his name hasn’t been released yet.
There is no word yet on a cause of the fire, but authorities do not think it is suspicious.
