LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) — Friday was the opening day of the Spring Meet at Keeneland. but we might not have Spring weather this weekend.
The weather for opening day was great, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the horses were out. Most people in attendance were wearing at least a light jacket.

But with snow in the forecast, the track may look very different Saturday morning. Officials at Keeneland have already decided to cancel sunrise trackside on Saturday and the popular tailgating spot, The Hill, will be closed. The Blue Grass Stakes is still scheduled to run Saturday and it is not unprecedented for snow to happen at the Spring Meet.
Thousands were still there to kick off the Spring Meet.
