KNOX COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) KSP has confirmed that the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort was able to identify the body found in the Cumberland River Thursday night as 42-year-old Johnny Carnes.
Carnes went missing in the Pineville area on February 6. According to the autopsy, no foul play is suspected.
KSP said that it appears Carnes died from an apparent drowning.
His body was found by kayakers travelling down the Cumberland River.
