MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD) — A McCracken County man is in jail charged with rape and other offenses after two teenagers say he kidnapped them from Tennessee.

WPSD reports here that 29-year-old Joshua S. Meyer is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

Paducah police say two girls, ages 15 and 16, had been reported missing in Henderson, Tennessee. They escaped from the home where they were being kept in the Forest Hills subdivision, running to another house in the neighborhood.

The girls told investigators they had been abducted from Henderson and brought to Paducah. They said Meyer sexually abused them, police say.

Meyer was being held in the McCracken County Jail.
