WILMORE, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Jessamine County woman was not hurt, despite careening off a small Wilmore road, and crashing into the Jessamine Creek Monday afternoon.
"I was just coming down here," said Judie Dion after the crash happened at 4:00 pm, "and a truck was coming around the corner and he was on my side of the road, more or less."
Moments later, she said the unknown box truck clipped her on a bridge, forcing her off the road.
"It was a jolt and I was off the road. I think he hit me but I don’t know," she added.
She said at the time there was a snow squall with limited visibility.
"I was trying to get a feel of my surroundings, to see where I was," Dion said. "I was thinking that’s all I can figure is I need to find my phone and call 911."
Dion said she crawled out the side of the vehicle, and then went to a neighbor’s house to call 911.
"I’m so glad I got out of it. It could have been much worse," she said.
