LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lincoln County Schools have come up with a unique concept to increase the presence of law enforcement on their campus.

Lincoln County Food Services will provide free breakfast and lunch to all local and state police officers, deputies, and wildlife officers.

Officers in uniform with identification are invited to eat with each other, our students, and staff. The District hopes officers will take advantage of this offer as it increases law enforcement presence on school campuses, familiarizes officers to schools, and provides the opportunity to develop relationships with students who one day will be the parents, workers and leaders in the communities they serve.

The District also extends the invitation to grab a cup of coffee in school staff break rooms if officers want to stop in at times when breakfast and lunch are not being served.
