LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) – For those heading to Thunder over Louisville this weekend, be warned that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be doing roadwork on I-64.
There will be lane and shoulder closures this weekend in both directions of Interstate 64 between Exit 58 in Frankfort and Exit 65 in Midway. The work is scheduled from 7 p.m. on Friday, April 20 until 6 a.m. Monday, April 23 to perform corrective work on a recently completed pavement rehabilitation project.
Contract crews plan to alternate closures between the left lane, right lane and shoulder on eastbound I-64 while westbound I-64 closures will be limited to the right lane and shoulder. At least one lane in both directions will remain open at all times.
