Laurel Co. Deputies Respond To Complaint On School Bus

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) Laurel County deputies responded to a complaint of an out-of-control female juvenile on a Laurel County school bus at Keavy Elementary school on Thursday afternoon.

Deputies said that while on the way, they learned the juvenile had threatened children on the bus and had threatened the bus driver and principal. Deputies say that around 60 kids, ages 6-12 were on the bus.

The deputies removed the 17-year-old girl from the bus and she was taken into custody, they say she was cursing, screaming, and threatening students and staff. The subject stated she was a drug user and was determined to be under the influence. The juvenile female was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; disorderly conduct – second-degree; and 63 counts of terroristic threatening – second-degree.

She was transported to Breathitt County Juvenile Detention facility.
