BEREA, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Madison County man is behind bars after police say he drove intoxicated with a child in the vehicle.
Officers responded to a Dollar General store after a caller reported that a subject had just left with a small child in the vehicle and that he appeared to be under the influence.
The car was located a short time later on Brenwood Drive and a traffic stop was conducted. Police say that the driver had slurred speech and a strong smell of alcohol. There was also an 8-year-old child in the car.
Officers arrested Andre Morrison, 51, of Berea and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 2nd Offense, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Careless Driving.
