LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A robbery took a turn from bad to worse after the robber forced a store clerk to give him a ride.
Police responded to the Family Dollar on Saron Drive overnight for a robbery. The suspect entered the store and brandished a firearm. He took cash and then struck the clerk multiple times causing minor injuries.
After the beating, the suspect forced the clerk to drive him to the area of Armstrong Mill and Man o’ War.
The store will not release surveillance footage, but the suspect was described as a black male.
The suspect could face charges of robbery and kidnapping when he is found. If you have information, contact Lexington Police.
