FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– The legislative session is over, but a group dressed in black will be converging on the capitol Monday morning.

The group "Save Kentucky Arts" will be holding a "funeral for higher education."

The invitation reads that due to recent actions and budget cuts by the legislature, it’s clear that higher education is no longer valued in Kentucky.

The mourners are invited to wear all black, and they will march the casket of EKU’s Theater Department through Frankfort.

Eulogies will be read at the capitol in remembrance of education and the procession starts at about 9 a.m.
