LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) The future of grocery shopping is here.
Monday at the Kroger on Euclid Avenue, customers were greeted by Ryan. Ryan is a store associate that knows the ins and outs of the new Scan, Bag, Go technology.
Scan, Bag, Go was designed to make your grocery shopping easier.
"Let me tell you, this is the future," said Griffin Vanmeter, one of the first customers to use the device.
To begin, you just scan your Kroger Plus Card and then you have the ability to scan any product in the store. You also have the option of scanning, using the mobile app on your smartphone.
"It was new and I like to scan and you can kind of play a game with it," said Vanmeter.
You can also keep track of how much you have spent.
