DANVILLE, Ky (LEX 18) – A Danville mother of three is thankful to be alive after two men ransacked her home and pointed a gun at her. She said they made off with thousands of dollars worth of cash.

Jeanenna Bryant said she left the back door of her home cracked open Tuesday morning while she was cleaning her room. She said she heard a bang and then two men rushed into her room.

"The dude who was wearing the red told me to get down on the ground, pointed a gun at me," she said.

Two men whom she had never seen before barged in and started ransacking the home.

"Only thing I could tell me was just, ‘don’t kill me, like, I’ve got three kids. I’m literally working, every day for them’," she told LEX 18.

Bryant said that when the man with the gun turned his back, she ran outside and hid in her backyard shed while the intruders ran off with a jar of $2,000 in cash.

“To have everything you’ve worked hard for, and to build back up after losing literally everything, is the most degrading part,” she said. "I might not be here. My kids would have to come home and find out their mother’s dead. So to be able to say that I’m alive, that’s a blessing."

She said she is counting her blessings, but she is also angry the suspects took every penny she had. She now has a message for them.

"They took everything. I literally bust my a** to take care of my kids the right way, for them to just take it all."
