LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3/Courier-Journal) – A Louisville Metro Police Officer has shot a robbery suspect, making this the second officer-involved shooting this week.
TheCourier Journal reports that the shooting happened in the city’s Portland neighborhood. One person was transported and the officer was not injured.
There is a heavy police presence in the neighborhood as crews investigate what led up to the shooting.
A witness told WAVE 3 News that the suspect began firing at the police as he walked by her home. She and her son ducked out of the way.
