DRAFFIN, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on US 460 in the Draffin community.
It happened around 1:20 p.m. Monday on the Regina Belcher Highway.
Troopers determined that Dakota Compton, 17, of Regina, was traveling West on US 460. He apparently lost control of the vehicle he was operating. The vehicle then crossed the center of the highway and was rear ended by a commercial vehicle which was traveling east.
Compton was pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner.
The collision is being investigated, and reconstructed by KSP.
