LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington Police made a quick arrest after a hold up at Jimmy John’s on Waller Avenue Monday night.

Officers say an armed man robbed the restaurant just after 5 p.m. A witness was able to get the license plate number of the robber’s car and an officer stopped that car at Red Mile Road and Versailles Road.

Police say the suspected robber, a passenger in the vehicle, got out and fled. Officers caught up with him on nearby Sparta Court.

Dakota Eugene Cavins was taken into custody and was taken to the hospital for a medical issue. The driver, Christina Cavins Stewart, was also arrested.

Both will face robbery and evidence tampering charges.
