MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (LEX 18) — One person is dead following a home fire Wednesday morning in Middlesboro.
The Bell County Coroner’s Office says its officials were called out to the scene of the fire and confirmed the death of a female.
The fire was being investigated by Kentucky State Police Arson Detectives, the Kentucky Fire Marshal’s Office, the Middlesboro Fire Department.
The Coroner’s Office is working with the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office investigating the cause of death, and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Frankfort.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
