LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) True Blue fans have their opinions on the one-and-done rule.

Even though UK has gone to four Final Fours and won a championship in the one-and-done era, some fans are tired of having to relearn a new roster year after year.

Former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice headed a 12 member panel, charged with looking into college basketball reform. One of their recommendations was to end the one-and-done rule.

"The freshmen are all good and well, but I’d like to see a few guys stay, have some upperclassmen. Have some more experienced players," said True Blue Fan Thomas Cremeans.

On the other hand, True Blue Fan Jay Mccoy says that the rule doesn’t encourage players to work toward a degree, which he said limits thier options moving forward.

"I’ve always felt that one-and-done was always a short-sighted approach to young men’s futures. That as far as options and availabilities that they would have post-NBA career is very limited if they don’t have the degree to fall back on," said McCoy.

It would be up to the NCAA and NBA to actually enforce changes.
