(Safe Wise) The website Safe Wise ranks Kentucky the 6th deadliest states for drivers.
They report that in 2016, there were 18.8 deaths per 100,000 people in Kentucky. That is above the national average of 11.6 deaths per 100,000 people per year.
Kentucky also has one of the lowest statewide minimum fines for cellphone use while driving.
