LAWERENCE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A family dog that went missing was discovered stuck in the mud near a river bed. Her family went to extremes to rescue the sweet pup and the entire incident was caught on camera.
Darrell Perkins knew his sister’s dog Ginger had been missing for days, but the family had come to assume she had died. On his way to work Wednesday morning, he heard howling coming from near his house.
Upon walking down to the water, he found Ginger, her legs were injured and she was stuck in the mud.
From there, Perkins launched a rescue mission to get Ginger to safety.
We are happy to report that Ginger, despite a minor leg injury, appears to be in excellent health.
