LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) A Lexington animal hospital is treating a 6-month-old puppy who was found in severe neglect. They are asking for your help.

A few days ago, a good samaritan found Kinsey walking down a road in Barbourville. She had a large wound on her neck from an embedded collar and broken leg. Kinsey was brought to Woodstock Animal Clinic where vets were able to stitch together her wound. She’ll need to have her front leg amputated. With medical bills mounting, the clinic is asking for donations to get the care Kinsey will need.

"If a case goes to a high-end kill shelter, these dogs would be put down because they don’t have the funding from the county in order to take care of them. So these dogs are costing quite a bit. The veterinarian costs will be $1,000 when we’re all done," said Anita Spreitzer with the Woodstock Animal Shelter.

Kinsey will have the surgery in a few weeks. She’ll need a foster home after that and eventually a permanent home.

The cost to save Kinsey’s life will be approximately $850.00 by the time all her surgeries are done. In addition to healing prayers, they are also asking for TAX DEDUCTIBLE monetary donations to help with her veterinary bill. If you would like to help Kinsey, you can do so three different ways:
1. CALL: Phone in your credit card information to 859-277-7729;
2. MAIL: Woodstock Animal Foundation, 843 Lane Allen Road, Lexington, KY 40504; and
