LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) A new business is set to open next month on Nicholasville Road and it will have some artwork that is sure to catch everyone’s eye.
One surprised former UK quarterback got a glimpse of the wall Friday.
"My friend Matt told me to come out, he had a surprise for me, and he wanted to show me. Turned the corner and it’s pretty cool!" Former UK Quarterback Tim Couch said.
Couch will share the wall with Loretta Lynn, Chris Stapleton, John Wall, and George Clooney.
The mural is on a wall of Floyd’s Barbershop on Malibu, which is near Fayette Mall. It is set to open on May 18.
The owner, Lindsay Jones, commissioned an artist whose work she noticed in Los Angeles.
"We told him some things about Kentucky that make Kentucky different and special. So he used that as his inspiration," said Jones.
"For me to get an opportunity to play for my home-state school and do the things I was able to do, is something I’ll cherish for a lifetime, remember for a lifetime," said Couch.
Floyd’s Barbershop is famous in the Los Angeles area. They are hiring stylists and other shop personnel for their grand opening in Lexington.
