LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Video after video of a low flying plane over the mountains of East Kentucky came into the LEX 18 newsroom Thursday. Most people were convinced the plane was going to crash.
As it turns out, the flight was a geological survey doing work over the area, the FAA confirms to LEX 18.
The flight took off from Ferguson Field and eventually made its way to Blue Grass Airport.
That didn’t stop some viewers from being extremely concerned about the plane’s altitude and snapping photos.
