LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– $17 million worth of cocaine was intercepted by Customs and Border Patrol at the UPS hub in Louisville.

An officer suspected something wasn’t right with a package from Sao Paulo, Brazil to the Republic of Congo.

There were 60 boxes, each with 24 tubs of silicone adhesive.

Each tub was found stuffed full of cocaine, nearly 1,100 pounds total.

The Department of Homeland Security is now picking up the investigation.
