CLAY COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) A grocery store had to be closed down in Clay County as police investigated what was believed to be a possible explosive device.
State Police said that troopers saw it during a traffic stop on Highway 421 North of Manchester.
Troopers closed the area off and had the nearby grocery store close.
Investigators with KSP’s hazardous devices checked the car with a bomb suit and robot. Troopers said they are bringing the car to a secure spot for further investigation.
They anticipate charges for at least one person in the car, including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
