LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police arrested a man in connection with a shooting Friday night on Scottsdale Circle.
According to an arrest citation, 38-year-old Cory Wiggers of Lexington was in the Hollow Creek area to meet a friend when the gun play broke out.
Wiggers was parked beside the friend’s vehicle when another vehicle pulled up and an occupant began shooting, according to police.
Wiggers allegedly told police he pulled out a gun and fired back. He told police the other car drove to the end of Scottsdale Circle with another car following closely behind it.
Then, according the report, Wiggers told police one of the vehicles started reversing toward him. He allegedly told police he then exited his vehicle, fired a gun several times into the air and then shot at the vehicle.
Wiggers is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
