LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington Police were working a standoff for hours Sunday night near Deer Crossing Way.
Police say they were first called to a home on Pheasant Run to investigate a domestic violence incident. When officers arrived they discovered a man had barricaded himself inside the home.
Reportedly police knew the man had weapons, so they established a perimeter and worked to negotiate with the suspect.
LEX 18 crews on scene saw officers in tactical gear headed down a drive.
Police do not believe anyone else was inside the home with the barricaded man, and they say no shots have been fired.
Neighbors in the area were shaken up by the ordeal.
