Motorcyclist Arrested For Speeding, Leading KSP On Chase

ADAIR COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) On Sunday, troopers said they observed a green 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle travelling north on Ky 61 at a high rate of speed.

A trooper tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the motorcyclist turned west on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway. KSP said the pursuit lasted around 17 minutes. They travelled 32 miles in the chase and reached speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour according to state police.

40-year-old Jason Woodard, of Hickman, Tennessee, was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police 1st-degree motor vehicle, speeding 26 <, Wanton endangerment 1st degree, along with several other charges; he was lodged in the Adair County Jail.

A passenger on the motorcycle 36-year-old Jerri Woodard, of Lawrenceburg, was not charged.
