BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A minimum-security inmate at Northpoint Training Center is back in custody Monday after briefly escaping the institution.
Officials say that around 1:30 a.m. Kenneth Daniel Bolin, 44, overpowered a Correctional Officer, stole his car keys and fled in the officer’s vehicle.
The officer was not injured.
Bolin was arrested approximately 45 minutes later by Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies.
He was serving on four counts of robbery and PFO out of Jefferson County.
