FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) – A vigil will be held for a Frankfort homicide victim Tuesday evening near the site of his death.
26-year-old Marcus A. Morris was stabbed during an altercation at the Hickory Hills Manor apartments Monday. Police say Morris was stabbed in the neck and ran outside for help.
A woman who tried to help spoke with LEX 18.
"He has lost too much blood. He had started convulsing by the time that they got here and it was terrible. I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to go through what I went through today," said witness Sandy Hopper.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for Ashley Rene Jones for the murder of Morris. Anyone with information on the location of Jones is asked to call (502) 320-1229.
The vigil will begin at 7 p.m. at Hickory Hills.
