2 Somerset Men Face Child Porn Charges

SOMERSET, Ky. (LEX 18)  — Two men are facing felony child pornography charges after a raid in Somerset by Kentucky State Police.

John C. Hess Jr., 34, and Donnie L. Edwards, Jr., 36, were arrested Tuesday on charges related to possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

KSP says Hess and Edwards were arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.

Police say they began investigating after finding that the two allegedly were sharing illegal images online.

Officers executed of a search warrant at a residence in Somerset Tuesday and seized electronic equipment that is being examined by state forensic experts.

Hess and Edwards each are charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

Both men were being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
