FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– A heartbroken community gathered for a vigil after a Frankfort man was stabbed to death.

Dozens who loved Marcus Morris gathered Tuesday night to remember him as a 25 year-old father of two with much to live for.

Police say Morris was stabbed in the neck at the Hickory Hills Manor apartments Monday afternoon.

Neighbors tried to help him before paramedics arrived, but Morris died from the stabbing

Morris’s brother says he’s thankful for the love, but is tired of seeing young men and women getting killed.

"No matter what he was going through that should have got him down, he was always positive," said Derrick Morris, the victim’s brother. "This right here, he didn’t deserve it. I don’t want no more sons getting buried. I don’t want no more parents burying their kids… no more kids growing up without their fathers or mothers or anything like that. These celebrations of life, these parties, these funerals… I’m tired of it."

Now, he’s calling for action. Hoping to soon make changes in his brother’s honor.

Frankfort police have issued an arrest warrant for Ashley Jones.

Investigators say she’s responsible for stabbing Morris

If you see her, you’re asked to call police.
